11:30 a.m. Cowpens Library, summer reading kickoff. Sign up for summer reading program prizes, get refreshments, and make a cover for your library card. Ages up to sixth grade. Call 864-463-0430.
Noon, Westside Library, Make a Splash: Read! Summer reading sign-up. come by between noon and 3 p.m. to sign up for our summer reading program for children and enjoy prizes, popsicles, crafts, balloon animals and face painting, and begin earning your opportunity to dunk our Splash Bandit at the end of the summer. 12:45 p.m. Headquarters Library, Barrett Room, teencentric. Join us for our first-ever teen reading festival. Tamora Pierce, author of several popular teen fantasy series, will speak and sign books.
